Java Developer FileCap (medior/senior) 32 - 40 hours

About the position

We are looking for someone who has a lot of Java knowledge and experience but more importantly wants to make an impact on a beautiful, self-developed software solution that is actively sold and developed. We work Scrum/Agile and the team works with Kanban and GIT. Besides the development team, you will work closely with the Sales and Support department and of course our Test Engineer. Your tasks include implementing new features, fixing bugs and actively thinking along in the roadmap of the solution. If you have knowledge of the underlying server software (Apache, Linux, Docker, etc), that is considered a definite plus.

FileCap

FileCap originated several years ago as a secure and user-friendly tool for sending (large) files for business customers. Sort of like WeTransfer but more secure and user-friendly. We have since evolved into a secure e-Mail solution and a substantial customer base of small, medium and large companies, both Dutch and international.  

The platform is available as server software and as a cloud platform and has plugins for Outlook (web and client) in addition to a web and admin interface.

Who are we looking for?

You get a lot of freedom and responsibility but we want something in return:

• Real, in-depth programming knowledge of Java (C# .NET is a plus);
• A positive "vibe," a dose of humor and a good work ethic;
• Good command of the Dutch language, English is also necessary;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Java development role;
• Knowledge of-and experience with-GIT SCM;
• Experience/interest in IT Security is a plus;
• You need to be able to write good unit tests;
• You must be able to work and develop independently;
• Living in Twente (preferably but we are flexible of course!);
